10月7日は、イスラエル人1200人が虐殺された日である。世界都市では、犠牲者追悼イベントや祈り会が開催された。
ドイツでは、ベルリンのブランデンブルグ門で、犠牲者の写真が貼ってある椅子が、1000席以上並べられて、石を置く追悼イベントが行われた。
アメリカのニューヨークでは、セントラルパークで、数百人が、イスラエルの旗を掲げて集まり、詩篇を朗読して人質のために祈る集会が行われた。
コロンビア大学では、1200の空席が並べられて、犠牲死者を想うイベントが行われた。

一方、逆に、まさにこの10月7日に、イスラエルを非難する動きもみられた。
以下は、オーストラリアのメルボルンに掲げられたハマスを賞賛する看板。「パレスチナに自由を。10月7日をまたやれ」などと書いている。

世界の都市では、イスラエルに抗議する大規模なデモが行われ、暴動になって、警察との衝突にもなっていた。
Times of Israelは、この日反イスラエルデモが行われた都市は、シドニー、ロンドン、パリ、ジュネーブ、アテネ、テサロニキ、イスタンブール、東京、ジャカルタ、ストックホルムなどと伝えている。デモはドイツでも行われていた。

10月7日に、大きな虐殺をされた側のイスラエルを、ここまで非難するのはどういうわけだろうか。
ハマスの犯罪行為を、すべて無視して、イスラエルだけを非難している。そこには、憎しみも見え、異常事態、霊的背景があると考えざるを得ない。
